Can a medical representative serve as recruiting agent in insurance companies?

Though there are insurance companies in India since many years, the present growth is never seen before. Almost every one has got improved awareness on insurance. People are insuring things and are also getting life insurance. Hence, this business has improved a lot. Insurance companies are facing extreme necessity of employees. So, they are taking people from sales field to increase their share in the market. LIC has one lakh agents and the remaining agents are working for 15 private insurance companies. Those who want to work as an agent should appear for the test conducted by ‘Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority’. Then the agents should get trained for 50 hours. Private companies are focusing on small cities and towns to increase their market. Based on their preferences, companies are recruiting people from financial services, IT, Telecom services, consumer durables, FMCG and other fields.

Famous companies in the insurance field are LIC, Reliance Life, SBI life, Bajaj Allianz, Metlife, Aviva, Kotak, Max New York, ICICI Prudential, HDFC Standard, Birla Life and others. Medical Sales representatives can also try as recruiting agents in these insurance companies.
