Career opportunities after BE (Bioinformatics)

Bioinformatics is the novel combination of molecular biology and computer sciences. There is need for storage of information that is availed from biotechnology researches, in the form of data using software.  For this work, candidates with bioinformatics education will be necessary. They will also be doing researches on reasons behind different diseases, new medicines that are used for treating them, genome assembly, protein structure and others. Candidates who have studied bio informatics will have employment opportunities in IT companies, pharmaceutical companies, health care, biotechnology companies and various research institutes.

For higher education, BE bioinformatics students can go for M. Tech with biomedical engineering, information technology, biotechnology, genetic engineering subjects as options.
