District Selection Committee Teacher Recruitment Test – DSC 2012 notification has been released by School Education Department AP on 30.1.2012 for the recruitment of 21,343 teachers’ posts in Andhra Pradesh. More than half of these are Secondary Grade teacher – SGT posts. Number of SGT posts are 11,602; language pundits are 2,000 PET teachers posts are 365;school assistant posts are 5,703 and Municipal School teacher posts are 1,673.

DSC 2012 Schedule

Central government of India has given permission for three new Sainik schools. One of them is allotted to Andhra Pradesh, one for Madhya Pradesh and one for Orissa. Andhra Pradesh already has Korukonda Sainik School. Presently there are 24 Sainik schools in 21 states. Bihar, Karnataka and Haryana have two schools each. With the latest permissions, the number of Sainik schools in India will become 27.

The funds being allotted for Sainik schools will also be increased and the defence ministry is trying to give relief for parents who have to pay huge Sainik school admission fee.

It is decided by the authorities that EAMCET 2012 applications will only to be accepted online. The notification is to be released on 10^th February, 2012 for EAMCET 2012. Online applications will be available from 12^th February, 2012. Authorities are taking care to make the online registration procedure comfortable to the students.

Students can send their EAMCET 2012 applications from internet centers, AP online, e-seva and Mee seva centers. All the Mandal Kendras will have AP Online centers and students can utilize these centers to send their applications. AP Online centers will charge an additional Rs. 10 to help the students in the process of online applications filling.

As soon as the Intermediate hall ticket number is entered in the website of EAMCET 2012 online applications, the details of the applicant that are collected from the intermediate board and his photo will be loaded automatically. The students can take the printout of the acknowledgment.

Students need not send separate applications for engineering and medical entrance exam as it is now possible to give the details for appearing for both the entrance exams in a single application form. Last date for receiving EAMCET 2012 application is 30^th March, 2012 without any fine and these will be accepted with a fine of RS. 5,000 till 28^th April and with a fine of Rs. 10,000 up to 9^th May, 2012

Educational Testing Service – ETS is inviting applications for TOEFL scholarship program 2012 specially meant for Indian Students.

Eligibility criteria to apply for TOEFL scholarships are –

• Applicable to only Indian students
• Students who are going to pursue graduate or undergraduate courses in any of the educational centers listed in TEOFL Destinations Directory in the year 2012 are eligible to apply.
• Students who wish to apply for TOEFL scholarship should have scored good marks in TOEFL.
