Documentation for student visa-procedure for obtaining student visa

Student visa procedure

Different countries follow different methods to issue student Visas. Students should first find out the correct procedure for visa and the documents needed to be submitted before sending the visa application. Getting a student visa will be easier once the applications are submitted with all the necessary information.  Except for few countries such as USA, there is no need to appear for personal interview for student visa. Student visa is issued without any interview and so documents play an important role and students should be very careful in submitting them. Issue of student visa depends on two factors. They are student profile and financial documentation.

Student profile: Any country expects the students who come to their country for studies to have good back ground. They consider not only highest marks and good grades but want the students to continue their studies without any breaks and get good work experience also after completion of the course. Therefore the documentation submitted by for student Visa should be perfect. But many students fail to submit proper and necessary documents.

  • Many students do short term courses and other preparatory courses after completing their graduation. These will be for duration of three years to one year. If the documentation for these courses is not submitted, the visa officials may feel that the student was idle during this period.
  • Many students work for few months before going abroad for studies. But they neglect to submit the experience letter and service certificate along with Visa application. This creates lack of information. To make the student profile complete, documentation for small durations also should be submitted. These improve the chances of getting student visa.

Financial documentation: Financial documentation for student visa will be different for various countries. This changes from country to country depending on the country’s immigration rules. This leaves the students confused. If for lack of proper guidance, documentation is not submitted as per the requirements of high commission, the chance of getting student visa may be lost. Therefore it is necessary to submit proper documentation.

Telephonic interview for student visa

As a part of student visa issue procedure, some countries may conduct telephonic interviews. Students who applied for student visa may receive phone call from either the high commission or the consulate. The main objective of telephonic interview is to find out the career plans and aims of students. Students should be ready with information and answer the questions clearly. Telephonic interview is also a crucial part of visa procedure. In recent times high commissions of various countries are opting for telephonic interviews to estimate the character of students. Most of the countries provide complete information about student visa procedure in their immigration websites. Student should read the information carefully to good clarity about various factors that help in obtaining student visa.
