Associate Membership Examination:
Associate Membership Examination is being conducted since 1960. It is currently held twice a year, usually during March and September, simultaneously at different centers in India. The diploma of AMIICHE, awarded on passing the Associate Membership Examination and on completion of other formalities required under the Constitution (Rules and Regulations) of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, is recognized by the Government of India for the purpose of recruitment to superior posts and services for which a degree in chemical engineering is prescribed as a qualification. AMIICHE is also recognized by leading Universities and Institutes for admission to M.Tech (Chemical Engineering) courses.
Eligibility:
Every candidate for the Associate Membership Examination must have any one of the following educational qualifications obtained from institutions recognized by competent authority.
Educational Qualification:
Degree in Engineering other than Chemical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
Degree in Technology including Chemical Technology.
Degree in Science with Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Diploma in Engineering other than Civil Engineering.
Degree in Pharmacy.
Other qualifications recognized by the Institute for the purpose, (listed in Appendix-I)
Examination Papers:
The Associate Membership Examination will consist of Part-I, Part-IIA & IIB and Part-III (Home Paper). Candidates may appear in one or more papers at a time. They may also appear for Part-I and Part-IIA & IIB simultaneously.
