Indian Statistical Institute is the institute developed especially for the statistics course. Its head quarters is in Kolkata. Regional offices are present in Benguluru, Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. This institute is offering Master of Statistics course. IIT Kanpur and IIT Bombay are offering M.Sc (Statistics) and M.Sc (Applied Statistics and informatics) respectively. Admission is based on the performance in JAM test conducted by IIT. In Andhra Pradesh, Osmania University is offering M.Sc (Statistics and Applied Statistics), Hyderabad Central University, Andhra University, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Sri Venkateswara University, Sri Krishnadevaraya University and Kakatiya University are offering M.Sc (Statistics) course.
