Industrial microbiology is one of the specializations in microbiology. In Andhra Pradesh no university is offering this course at PG level. It can be studied as one of the paper in PG. M.Sc industrial microbiology is offered by Guru Jambheshwar University, Anna university of Tamilnadu and Devi Ahalya university of Madhya Pradesh. This course is also available in Madras University. Students who complete industrial microbiology will have opportunities in Pharmaceutical companies and food processing industries. Genetics research, Law, publishing, health and safety industries also provides employment for these candidates. They have opportunity in the disciplines of bioethics, toxicology, virology, agronomy, quality control technology, public health and bio medical technology. Better will be the opportunities if one completes PhD by attempting ICMR exam after PG.
