M. Tech in distance mode:
There is nothing mentionable advantage in doing M. Tech in distance mode since AICTE provides no recognization to it. To get the job of lecturer in private colleges, M. Tech that is approved by AICTE will be necessary. So it is better to quit the idea of joining M. Tech in distance mode. M. Tech may have advantages in getting the promotions if you are doing a job in a private company.
Some Universities in some branches are offering M. Tech in distance mode. Deemed Universities of Tamil Nadu are offering such courses. But they don’t have AICTE recognition. In Andhra Pradesh, JNTU (Hyderabad) is offering Summer Sequential Scheme (SSS). It is also not having the AICTE recognition but it is better than the M. Tech in distance mode. If AICTE recognition is not present, government jobs cannot be applied with it. So it is better to write GATE and enter M. Tech in a recognized university.
