MEDICAL CHEMISTRY

Mixing of Pharmacology & Chemistry is called as Medical chemistry. This specialization course motive is to formation of new medicines, synthesizing, and to improve the available medicines, maintenance of standards of the medicines produced in the manufacturing sector and to develop the quantity of production of medicines. In this specialization course all the said qualities will be gained by the candidates. The candidates who are completed this specialization they can get several job opportunities in the field of research and drug discovery wings.

PHARMACOLOGY

The action of the medicine and reactions are to be found out by the Pharmacology candidates. The candidates will gain the knowledge in this specialization course on the issues of the medicines, use of required quantity and what kind of reactions have taken place, investigations about raw material, which are useful for the medicines, and their shapes and qualities. The P.G completed candidates in this course, can gain job opportunities in Clinical Research R&D wings.

PHARMACOGNACY convenience

The matters related to medicines, such as Physical, Chemical, Biological, Bio-Chemical, and Drug substances analyses are available in the Pharmacognacy. The bio- sciences wing is called as Pharmacognacy. The products which are available from the Plants and Animals are brought to the medicine shape by the candidates of this specialization course. On the same lines the course syllabus designed. Mainly in this specialization course the issues of plant Taxonomy, Breading, Pathology, plant genetics knowledge, medicinal, and Aromatic improvement specialization have to be studied by the candidates. The candidates who are completed their P.G. in this specialization course, can get job chances in Research Centers.

PHARMACEUTICS

From the chemical formulations producing of medicines is the specialization in this course. Without any reactions the formation of medicines can be done by the pharmaceutics specialization candidates.

For these candidates the syllabus of from drug design to drug dosage is made available. After passing this specialization course the candidate will secure their jobs in  the Drugs manufacture companies and at corporate hospitals.

ADMISSIONS

In the country the Bits, Banaras Hindu University and some other Institutes and Universities have offering the M.Pharmacy course. To get admission in the

M. Pharmacy course the Graduate Aptitude Test of engineering (Gate) rank is considered for selection of the candidates.

Some Universities have conducting their entrance tests and providing the admissions in their institutes.

The entrance test will be conducted every year in the month of May, June. The related notifications will be released in the month of December. In each specialization course minimum 20 seats are made available as such the competition will be heavy. The interested candidates have to start their preparation for gate examination from their final year B.Pharmacy course. If they want to join in any prestigious organization, they have to study very hard.

In our state the M.Pharmacy opportunities are very less. The M. Pharmay course providing by the .University College of Pharmacy, Kakatiya University, and J. N.T.U are having very demand. But the candidates are not happy due to shortage of seats.

PRACTICALITY IS IMPORTANT

The M. Pharmacy candidates have to show their interest on the theory and interest on practical. As such they have to visit the Pharmaceutical companies in their holidays for gaining experience. In pharma studies the importance of practical has been recognized by NIPER. The II year of M.S pharma is completely allotted for research internship.

The M.S. students will be paid Rs. 8,000/- as fellowship.  The institutes of NIPER which are established to develop the pharma education are changing the syllabus for every two years keeping in view of the growing companies necessities.

The Universities are facing with lack of basic facilities not failing to update the syllabus as per the demand. They are giving importance only to theory. Hence the candidates are not gaining the specialization grips of their courses.

As such the students are advised not to depend on the faculty only. In view of using the library and Internet facilities they can gain more knowledge on new issues. The have to attend for the short terms courses which are available to them.

The candidates who have interested to enter in to this field, they must have good patience and reading hobby. In future the Hyderbad zone is becoming as a pharmacy hub. So many industries have interested to start their new units at Hyderabad. NIPER is also showing interest to start their campus at Hyderabad. So there is no need to worry for the pharmacy students since they may get more job opportunities in future.
