Popular universities offering M.Sc in physics | Syllabus for entrance exam to study in M.Sc in physics
IIT in Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Chennai and Roorkey are offering M.Sc physics course. Candidates are selected based on the joint entrance exam for M.Sc (JAM). Students who studied mathematics with B.Sc in physics are eligible. The notification is released in November/ December. The exam is conducted in May. Mathematical methods, mechanics and general properties of matter, oscillation waves and optics, electricity and magnetism, kinetic theory and thermodynamics, modern physics, solid state physics, devices and electronic chapters should be studied and the questions will be asked from these topics. Indian institute of Sciences in Bangalore and University of Hyderabad are offering these courses along with popular universities. The notification for these exams is given in March/ April and exam will be conducted in March/ April.
