UK student visa procedure

UK student visa procedure is simple when compared to USA student visa procedure. Students need no appear for personal interview. They have to submit their visa application along with all the necessary documents. The procedure completes in 7 – 15 days. Students have to book their slot for online filling of visa applications.

To study in UK, students have to apply under Tier 4-Students category for UK Student visa. This is being implemented from 31^st March, 2009. UK student visa application form is VAF9. Financial documents for UK Student visa

• Funds should be available in the savings and current account as on the date of UK student visa application. Bank account should be in the name of the student/sponsor/both.
• For fixed deposits, students have to submit the bank letter that the funds will be available within 28 days from the date of visa application.
• If the student has taken a student loan, the copy of the loan sanction letter should be submitted along with the application. The date of issue of loan should be within one month as on the date of visa application.

• VAF9 – Appendix 8 form
• Guidance notes
• Passport
• One passport size color photo
• Biometric details
• Visa fee 255 pounds in the form of DD
• CAS letter from university. All documents for UK student visa should be submitted in original.
• No-objection certificate from university
• ATAS certificate if necessary
• Accommodation , tuition fee payment receipts
• Bank statement from sponsors in original
• Mark sheets from tenth class
• An affidavit on Rs. 20 non-judicial stamp paper related to sponsor
• Work experience certificate
• Fixed deposit receipts if necessary
