Both microbiology and chemistry will have good number of opportunities. Since microbiology can be said as specialization course, candidates who have completed course in this subject will have improved number of opportunities when compared to that of chemistry subject.

Presently, microbiology is one of the subjects that have growing prominence across the world. Microbiology is the study of micro organism. Sc) entrance test score will be considered while giving admission into central universities and other universities of India. Based on All India Biotechnology Entrance Test, conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi, 32 universities across the nation are giving admission. To do PhD in biotechnology, GATE score or pass in UGC-Junior research fellowship or CSIR fellowship tests is necessary.  For the business management of biotech industries, there is need for corporate executives, marketing managers and others.
