What are the entrance tests to be attempted to get admission in PhD Biotechnology?

There are many tests at the national level for the sciences students to do PhD. Important ones among them are CSIR – NET, DBT – JRF, ICMR, ICAR, IISC and GATE. If the Junior research fellowship (JRF) is achieved through these tests, admission into PhD can be got easily in various institutes at national level.  PhD can be done in those institutes, research institutes, central universities and other renowned institutes related to them. Many central universities are conducting separate entrance tests for admission into PhD courses. Those candidates who successfully clear JRF can have opportunity to get admitted into many institutes directly.

If JRF, NET are not attempted, candidate can join any institute or university in projects.  There is a chance for doing PhD after doing research work for sometime. Regardless of the tests mentioned above, there is an opportunity to work in projects with PG eligibility and according to the rules of that institute.
